Wooster Interfaith Housing History
Wooster Interfaith Housing Corporation (WIHC) has provided permanent and
transitional housing for thousands of Wayne and Holmes counties’ homeless since 1972.
Since its inception, it has diversified into four programs: Interfaith Rentals, FAITH House, HELP House, and Turning Point.
WIHC, the only transitional housing provider for Wayne and Holmes counties, owns 16 HUD contract units and 7 private units, and operates 1 shared program unit.
WIHC is supported by the United Way of Wayne and Holmes County, the United Way of Orrville, the Ohio Department of Development, HUD, rental income, and private donations.
